G. Lee Cockrell, 84, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016.
He was a graduate of McKenzie Business College and was a Veteran of the US Army Air Corps. Mr. Cockrell was a member of the American Legion Post 95. He was owner of numerous businesses including Skate World of Hixson, Skate World of Alexander City, (AL) and American Classics Sportsware. He had been sales Manager of Embassy Mobile Homes Division of Guerdon Industries for over 25 years. His hobbies included being an antique car collector, restoring classic cars, collecting die cast cars...

G. Lee Cockrell, 84, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016.
He was a graduate of McKenzie Business College and was a Veteran of the US Army Air Corps. Mr. Cockrell was a member of the American Legion Post 95. He was owner of numerous businesses including Skate World of Hixson, Skate World of Alexander City, (AL) and American Classics Sportsware. He had been sales Manager of Embassy Mobile Homes Division of Guerdon Industries for over 25 years. His hobbies included being an antique car collector, restoring classic cars, collecting die cast cars and collecting Dale Ernhardt memorabilia. He was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America and won hundreds of awards in car shows.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Cockrell and a brother, Charles Cockrell.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Pittman, Ann Spaziani, Marzetta Stanley and Jane Marren; four grandchildren, Jason Eric Cockrell, Alicia Gesmondie, Brittany Spaziani and Michael Spaziani, Jr.; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.
